Never bring a water pistol to a gunfight!
In this episode of Daily Burst of Inspiration reading “New Sales. Simplified”
by Mike Weinberg, we talk about our sales weapons: What’s in the Arsenal?
Truths that apply to a new business development sales attack:
-Every salesperson must be armed with the necessary weapons and then become proficient at firing those weapons at target accounts.
Otherwise:
-When not properly equipped?
Salespeople are less likely to engage with prospects.
-Armed but ineffective at launching weapons?
Most likely miss their targets completely or not get noticed when they do pull the trigger.
-Others who are willing to pull the trigger but consistently take terrible shots.
The attempts fail to score a direct hit or move the sales process forward.
And the Confucius quote holds true: “Never give a sword to a man who can’t dance.”
